YouTube has released the most awaited picture-in-picture mode for YouTube Premium subscribers on iOS worldwide. This feature has also been released in India. The company has confirmed this with Gadgets 360. After this update, 'Phone users will now be able to watch YouTube videos in the mini player and run other apps simultaneously.

Google initially announced picture-in-picture (PiP) support for iOS YouTube users in June this year. Also, earlier this week, YouTube also invited its premium subscribers to test this feature before releasing it. 

A YouTube spokesperson confirmed to Gadgets 360 that the company has rolled out PiP mode globally to all YouTube Premium subscribers on iOS. This feature is gradually being released worldwide for iOS users. 

How to use YouTube PIP Mode in iOS: 

Here we are going to tell you the steps to use PIP mode. However, before that keep in mind that you have to signup for testing at the moment. For this, you have to go through this link www.youtube.com/new from your web browser. Coming here, you have to click on the Try it out button available under the 'Picture-in-picture on iOS` listing. Make sure you visit the site after signing in to a YouTube Premium account. 

- As soon as you are signed up for testing, open the YouTube app and click on your favorite video. 

- Then press or swipe up on your iPhone's home button. This will allow you to start watching the video in PIP mode. 

Keep in mind that in some cases it is also possible that users will have to reinstall the YouTube app to use this feature. It would be better if you update YouTube to the latest version. This testing round will continue till 31st October. 

Since the company has confirmed that this is a global rollout. In such a situation, before the end of the testing, a large number of users will get it.
