OPPO A92s: 120Hz display, 5G support, pricing and everything else we know so far

OPPO is all set to launch its Ace 2 smartphone in China later today with features like 90Hz display. The smartphone maker is also gearing up to launch a number of A-series smartphones including the likes of the alleged OPPO A21, OPPO A72 and now according to the latest reports, the OPPO A92s. The smartphone was recently spotted in a number of leaks including a poster mentioning display specs, another revealing the design, colour variants and pricing, and an MIIT certification page. Here’s everything we know about the OPPO A92s so far.

The OPPO A92s will feature 120Hz display

Talking about the first leaked poster, the OPPO A92s will come flaunting a punch-hole display design with two cameras on the front. The actual display will be a 6.57-inch IPS LCD panel with a high 120Hz refresh rate. Apart from that, the image also confirms that the smartphone come flaunting support for 5G network, which means we can expect it to features one of the latest processors. As per a Weibo post, the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor. The SoC is further rumoured to be paired with an LPDDR4X RAM and UFS2.1 storage.

Additionally, the post revealed that the smartphone will feature a 16MP Sony IMX471 primary sensor and a 2MP depth of field sensor at the front. At the rear, the phone will feature a quad-camera setup comprising of a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP ultra-micro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Other features include a 4,000mAh battery with 18W PD3.0 fast charging and ColorOS based on Android 10. Needless to say, the post didn’t leave much to the imagination when it comes to specifications.

The second poster leak gives us an insight into the design of the handset, which was missing from the previous leak. We can see that the smartphone will be offered in three colour variants including black, white and pink. All three colour options appear to feature solid colour gradient and a square-shaped camera module on the back. The poster also reveals that the smartphone will come in a single 8GB + 128GB configuration with a price tag of RMB 2,499 (~Rs 27,000).
