Gigabyte will be "Redefining Gaming Notebooks" as one of the first OEMs out of the gate with Core i7-10750H, Core i7-10875H, and unlocked Core i9-10980HK options later this month. Comparisons to the competing AMD Ryzen 4000 series, which will also be shipping out in the coming weeks, should prove to be interesting.
Now that Intel has officially lifted the curtains off mobile Comet Lake-H, OEMs everywhere are free to announce their refreshed 2020 models. Taiwanese manufacturer Gigabyte is already on board as nearly all of its current models will be updated with 10th gen Comet Lake-H parts ranging from the hexa-core Core i7-10750H to the octa-core Core i7-10875H and even the unlocked Core i9-10980HK.
Starting from the bottom will be the 15.6-inch Aorus 5 and 17.3-inch Aorus 7. These mid-range gaming laptops can be equipped with 10th gen Core i7 CPUs for a starting price of $1300 or $1400.
The next step up are the high-end Aorus 15G, 17G, and 17X gaming laptops with 10th gen Core i9 options. The GPUs in them will also be updated to the mobile GeForce RTX 20 Super series. Prices start from $1700 USD to $2400.
Lastly, the all-purpose Aero 15 and Aero 17 will be updated with Core i7, Core i9, and GeForce RTX 20 Super GPUs as well with starting prices ranging from $1600 to $2300 USD. Last year's OLED and HDR panel options remain the same.
Other than the internal updates, the refreshed models are expected to carry the same external chassis designs as last year's options. The news comes on the same week as AMD's 3rd generation mobile Renoir series which has already begun shipping on certain Asus Zephyrus laptops.
Pre-orders are expected to begin this week first shipments starting on April 15.
