With the current coronavirus pandemic, Apple’s plans to launch the upcoming iPhone 9/SE 2 may change again. The smartphone’s Urban Armour Gear case was spotted on the BestBuy store in the US hinting at its imminent launch. Apple had recently announced 2020 iPad Pro and updated MacBook Air models. Previously, analyst Ming Chi-Kuo had predicted the entry-level iPhone to be launched in the first half of 2020.
The iPhone 9 is rumoured to be based on 2017’s iPhone 8 series. According to the renders, the device will feature a 4.7-inch display with thick bezels on the top and bottom chin. The upcoming smartphone is expected to come with a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and a single rear camera. The iPhone 9 is rumoured to flaunt a frosted glass finish on the back panel and a Lightning port for charging.
The iPhone 9 will be reportedly powered by the Apple A13 Bionic processor paired with 3GB RAM. It will be offered in 64GB and 128GB storage options. The smartphone is also said to support wireless charging. The iPhone 9 is expected to carry a starting price tag of $399 (~Rs 28,000).
