ROG phone 2
Asus ROG Phone 2 is an upcoming smartphone by Asus. The phone is rumoured to come with a 6.59-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
Asus ROG Phone 2 is expected to be powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core processor and come with 8GB of RAM.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 is rumoured to run Android 9 Pie and is expected to be powered by a 6,000mAh non-removable battery.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Asus ROG Phone 2 is rumoured to pack a 48-megapixel primary camera and a second 13-megapixel camera. It is expected to sport a 24-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 runs ROG UI based on Android 9 Pie. The Asus ROG Phone 2 tipped to be a single SIM (GSM) smartphone.
Connectivity options on the Asus ROG Phone 2 are said to include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone are rumoured to include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 is said to measure 170.99 x 77.60 x 9.78mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 240.00 grams. It is said to launch in Black colour.
Speciality of this smartphone
For anyone who knows how fast games like PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Mobile can kill a phone, this extra battery capacity should be a welcome upgrade. In fact, Asus is promising that the ROG Phone 2 can play PUBG Mobile for over seven hours straight on a single charge, though that’s only with the screen set to 60HZ instead of 120Hz.
Asus even crammed in more powerful vibration motors to give you a little extra rumble while gaming and an in-screen fingerprint sensor to boot. The only thing the ROG Phone 2 doesn’t seem to have is support for 5G. And to my disappointment, the ROG Phone 2's design doesn’t look all that different from last year’s model.
